About
The practice
Eiscir is a specialist platform engineering consultancy based in Ireland, working with organisations across Ireland and internationally. Our engagements are led by principal engineers with deep backgrounds in platform architecture, cloud infrastructure, and security. Engineers who have owned complex production systems, not just reviewed them from the outside.
The practice draws on over 20 years of engineering experience, from on-premise enterprise infrastructure and application hosting through to cloud-native infrastructure across financial services, automotive, and large-scale enterprise environments.
Technical depth
The work is hands-on. Eiscir plans and executes platform migrations, steps in as the missing senior engineer in teams that need one, and diagnoses and fixes infrastructure that has been built incorrectly or delivered in a state that is difficult to operate. Every engagement involves doing the work, not managing the people doing it.

How Eiscir works
Senior engineers on every engagement. No account management layer, no offshore delivery model. The person you speak to in the first conversation is the engineer doing the work.
Client relationships are treated as long-term assets. Engagements are only taken on where the outcome can be delivered well. Business development is referrals and reputation, which means the incentive is always to do good work rather than to sign the next contract.
The name
An eiscir is an Irish geological term for an esker: the long ridges of glacial sediment that run across the Irish midlands, deposited by meltwater streams beneath ancient ice sheets. The most significant is the Eiscir Riada, the ancient highway that historically divided Ireland north from south. It passes through Offaly, where the practice is based.
